car show
Hi,
I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with spring up here at Purdue, but every year we have the Purdue Grand Prix go-kart race. Along with the race our car club, the Purdue Automotive Performance Association is putting on a car show. This will be my first year being invoved with the show, but I walked thru it last year and it was pretty nice. This year the show will be held on Saturday April 24th. Right now we are still working on the details, but if you want more info. post up here and I will get it to you as it becomes available. Thanks a lot guys.

This show is pretty much as open as it can get. This is a fundraiser for our club, so we probably won't turn anything away (whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be determined 
). But you and your Model A would be more than welcome.

Ok, here's the update for anyone that may still be interested in this car show.
The show will be held on April 24th in the Ross Ade Stadium parking lot. All of this information, as well as a registration form can be obtained from our club webpage:

Thanks a lot. I hadn't even thought about posting a message on their board. I was in the off-road club briefly, but funding didn't come through over the summer so I didn't end up getting anything to go off-roading in. Anyway, thanks again.

No problem....but heres a lil recruiting....just cause you don't have something to go offroading in doesn't mean you can't be in the club I'm a frosh so I don't have my truck down here yet.....BUT I just ask on the forum if anyone has an open seat and someone usually does and it's a blast. It's not as fun as driving but it's still really fun out there.

Oh it's awesome and goin w/ the club is that much better cause they know what they're doin and if ya get stuck theres winches and jeeps to pull ya right out. If anyone is interested in goin sometime tell me and I can put it on the board that some guys want to go and chances are there will be guys there who want to go too.

There were a couple of times that I had planned on goin out and ridin, but things came up that were beyond my control and it just never worked out. I joined the car club, that I'm in now, last fall (since I already had my car). I'm HOPING that I will be able to get a truck this summer and then maybe get involved. But, we'll see what happens.
