I think I'm getting old, but I can't remember where to find hardware part #'sin the ford parts manual, I found them in the illustrated, but can not find the actual part # in text.
Hardware part numbers are really hit and miss. IF they are listed in the Text manual it is typically listed below the part number that it attaches to the vehicle. A decent example is 8005 Radiator. That section lists all of the radiators and then following that but still in the 8005 section it changes to listing hardware parts numbers.
The numbers after the -S refer to the finish of the hardware part.
-S - Plain or no finish - like a rubber part for example.
-S2 - Phosphate & Oil
-S7 - Cadmium Plate
-S8 - Zinc Plate
-S13 - Chrome Plate
-S32 - Enamel
etc.
This guide from AMK is somewhat handy. AMK does not make everything listed in this guide.
TA, you're still alive, good to see your name. I figured out after I posted this that the number that shows up in the illustration pages for hardware are the actual part #. And I managed to find everything I needed. Rebuilding the 3 speed column shifter in my '65 E-Pickup. TY sir.
