351 build

well i want to build a wicked 351w for my f250 4x4 and im wondering what heads to use. as its going in a truck i dont see it ever passing 5000 mabey 5500 rpm. im planing on an edelbrock preformer 600 carb, preformer intake, headers, un decided on the cam. i was considering going all out and getting edelbrock aluminum heads but i dont think they are gonna benefit me much when im only revvin 5 grand. what do you guys think for this application, stock, gt40, gt40p, eddelbrock? any other windsor power tips?

I would go with the cast iron GT-40 head or P head. The P head will require special headers. Aluminum heads will require a slightly higher compression since the aluminum dissipates heat better. Not needed but I have read the aluminum heads perform better the compression is raised from the what the cast iron heads had.

The cast iron head will be a much better choice in my book.
