I took it to an auto parts store and they tried doing an OBD II scan on it. Nothing turned up.
I tried changing the spark plugs from NGK V plugs to Autolite double platinum and that made a difference but there is still some dieseling when it is at operational temperature.
I have tried the de-carboning treatments. That made no noticeable difference.
Could it be something in the throttle body or, could it be a problem with a ground wire?
I had the same problem on my Z28 and cleaning the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) did the trick. Its located on the intake elbow between the air filter box and the throttle body. It comes off pretty easy by loosening up a few screws and unpluging the wire, then just spray it down with some carburator cleaner, but don't wipe it with a rag, or jam anything in it to clean it, you don't want to dammage the little filliments in it or you'll be out $400. Let it dry for a couple minutes then put it beck in hte same way it came out...remember to plug in the wire. Hope this helps, it worked for me.
