Extended Warranty Problems - Heritage

I bought an extended warranty when I bought the truck 1.5 yrs ago through a company called Heritage. It was $1500 for 48,000 miles/4yrs. My question is has anyone ever dealt with heritage before? I am of the opinion they suck. Am I wrong in requesting a list of parts they do/do not cover? I have the contract with a broad list of items broken down into several sub-headings, but I want actual part #'s. Am I a fool for thinking I am entitled to this?

What do you think?

IMHO, asking for a detailed parts list with actual part numbers is asking too much. There are hundreds of parts on a truck and if they did this for every make and model of vehicle, and then got into each and every piece of equipment (A/C, power windows, etc), it would be a monumental task. Also, many part numbers are superseeded as time moves on; how are they to keep up with this short of maybe doubling the cost of the warranty?

My wife used to work for Sears in the appliance department selling washers, refrigerators, etc. She told me that these were one of the biggest scams pushed on the consumer because it was a big money maker for the company. If you are not able to maintain your equipment, it may be worth the investment, otherwise you will pay a big premium for not much protection.

Or worse, pay for the coverage and never have the truck break down like you expected.
