Here we have a 1980 TANDEM axle Ford Econoline boogie van. I’ve owned the van a few years now and take it to multiple van events a year so it is a driver. A driver. Not a perfect show van but still a nice unit for shows and camping at said shows. She’s won a few awards in my ownership. Van has a 351w installed with c6 three speed. Edelbrock avs2 4 barrel carb. Tandem set up with small belts to the back wheels tho they aren’t currently installed the pulleys are still there and I have the old belts still for reference. (Van does fine with out the rear wheels driven). The front axle moves Van just fine tho a locker would help. (Been like this for years). This van was built in 80 so don’t expect a show quality piece. Has a few small cracks in the body here and there and paint isn’t perfect. But like I said. It’s a driver. I’d love to see a fellow vanner swoop it up and enjoy it like it should. I drive it often but get my blue boogie van out more. Come take a look at it. $9k o

It seems that a setup like that would wear the rear tires faster than normal. Every time you turn there will be some rubber scrubbed off because the tire axle pairs would be fighting each other.
Used to belong to someone I knew, yes on turns it drags the rear, wear the edges, but custom vans don't get driven daily they are for show, there are a lot of them BTW, seen a tandem Chevy a few years back, both his were powered.
