It's been awhile since I have posted.I am trying to move forward with some projects now! My first question is for numbers dummy if you are out there. I have a 1965 F100 2wd long bed custom cab. I am interested in upholstery for the front bench seats. My Trim code is D81 I believe my interior is O/E but my son does not"t think it is . He seems to think that the original seat covers had the F100 embossed in the seat back along with the Lightning bolt icon, is that the case ? Any light you could shed on this would be both helpful and appreciated. Also what is a good source for parts pertaining to the job?
Hoop, Bill doesn’t hang out here anymore. I just spoke with him , for the first time in months. He’s been sick . I actually thought I’d pizzed him off and that was why he was ignoring my calls, but turns out he’d been in the hospital . He’s now 80 years old.
Anyway, SMS Auto Interiors in Oregon can likely make you the correct seat covers, if someone else can decode from your tag what they should be. They are the only ones I know of who have the correct material. Or, they can sell you the material so you can have a local upholsterer do the job. There have been long wait times on having them stitch the covers. Good luck
Starting about here in this thread there are some pictures that show some NOS upholstery as well as what SMS can deliver. Too bad they have the Photobucket logo over them, but you can probably see the logo in some of the pictures. This is a 1966 truck so a little different than 1965 but the colors and logo would be correct.
