Hi, I have a 2024 F250 Lariat. I had it for 6 months when a person ran a stop sign and I hit them broadside. Along with the front end damage the frame is bent and the Ford dealer says it needs to be replaced. So they did. $38,000 damage total. I am very apprehensive about the reliability following all of this work. Have any of you had any experience with a vehicle that had a frame swap?
The only concern I would have is electrical wiring and harness connections. There are an absolute ton of wire connectors that have to be disconnected and moved over....and Ford is notorious for using 78 different types of connectors. Most technicians get pissed off and end up breaking some of them. That could rear it's ugly head later down the road, and electrical gremlins are very hard to trace sometimes. Otherwise its not that big of a deal because with the cab and bed off, all the driveline is very easy to access and swap over correctly.

It's been done many times before, and the work should have a warranty in case you do have issues.
I hope you got a nice big check for the diminished value from the stop sign runner's insurance.
Might be worth investing that DV money and trade the truck in for a new one if it worries you.
Thanks for your response. All the work is warranted so I will have recourse if there are problems. I have never heard of a diminished value payout. Michigan has “No Fault Insurance “ so I don’t know if that is possible. I will definitely check into it. Trading it in is definitely on my mind.

Diminished value insurance claim is where you get paid for the loss of value for your vehicle due to the wreck damage.
It may not be available in a no-fault insurance state.
Frame swap is better than a straightened frame.....possibility of electrical issues any time you get that deep into it as WX mentioned but if everything works when you get it back, I wouldn't stress about it.
Nov. 2018 my 2018 F250 XLT FX4 was creamed in the rear passenger wheel area, with damage to the frame, and other damages as well.
I had a full frame swap at the dealer December 2018, and to knock on wood, I could not tell the difference at all.
