Glad that I purchased a 2024 Ford Ranger in Iconic Silver.
Ford is dropping Iconic Silver for the 2025 Ranger. Silver is my favorite color. According to some sources Silver is the 4th most popular color for vehicles here in the U.S. Why drop such a popular color. I can only hope that they will bring the color back by the time I need to replace this truck. If there is no silver Rangers in the future I may have to look elsewhere to get my favorite color. Some of the decisions Ford is making are baffling to me.
FORD's color choices need a shot in the arm. IMO, their boring. Having said that we just bought my wife a 2024 Iconic Silver Ranger FX4. It has the 2.3 engine. I know nothing about the engine. (Keeping my fingers crossed).
I have a little over 11000 miles on my Ranger with the 2.3. So far no engine issues. I pull a 22' SunTracker Party Barge pontoon boat and it pulls fine. In fact I am surprised how well it pulls the boat. I really was looking for a Ranger with a 2.7 but the 2.3 handles the job well so far.
According to my service writer at my dealer, the 2.3L is the least problematic engine in Ford's line up. I'm sure the 6.7L guys will argue and that's fine, we're talking light duty gas.

I have also heard and read that. It does give me some confidence that my engine issues will be few and far between.
