first year fer fuel injection???

hey guys, i have an 87' 3/4 ton that has a caruerated 460 in it. i was just curious if they ever came from the factory with a carb in the 87' models er if my truck should have a fuellie 460. thanks fer any help.

Factory carburated is about right for your year 460.

EFI was an option in 87 and standard in 88.

thanks guys. another question about the fuellie 460s. if i am not mistaken they are all factory roller cam. would the carbuerated engine that was an option be a roller cam engine also?

No factory roller cam on the EFI 460's, the later 351's and 302's I believe are roller.

EFI was standard equipment on 4.9 and 5.0 engines and not available on 351's and 460's in '87.
