I have a bad Smart Junction Box on a 2007 Ford Expedition XL. Is there somewhere I can purchase a remanufactured one or send mine for repair? Or a parts warehouse to buy new? I've tried entering information ( 3 different part numbers due to updates, the name of the part, and VIN ) on a couple OEM sites. They all come back as part not found.
Sending your old box out and getting it repaired means it will not need to be re-programmed. If you happen to find one in the junkyard, it will need programmed so it will work with your vehicle. The dealer can do this. You may be able to do it with a free scanner program called Forscan. But it will be a steep learning curve to do it yourself.
