Misfire Problems with 5.0
2014, F150, 5.0L V8, FX4, roughly 300,000kms on engine. I have owned the vehicle since around 200,000kms, oil changes done every 5k
I'm having misfire issues, codes being thrown are P0304, P0301, and P0300. I have replaced the sparks, I have purchased a single coil pack and moved it around trying to see if the problem will travel and it has not. The coils were replaced within the last 50,000 kms anyway so I highly doubt it is the coils. The wiring connectors are in really rough shape, I am going to replace those and see what comes of it, however I am starting to worry that this is a timing issue? I'm not super mechanically inclined I only know the basics so I could be off of course. I also have read that it could be the VCT Solenoid. Is that worth looking at?
I'm not exactly flush with cash by any means so I'd prefer not to throw money at 12 different things and see what happens. I'd prefer to start with the "best chance this will fix it" things haha. If anyone can advise me to next steps that would be great. Thanks a ton!
