My wife recently purchased a 2000 F150 SuperCab. The truck is very nice but it has manual locks/windows/side mirrors. She would really like to upgrade to electric side mirrors.
Would I be better off finding a aftermarket kit or looking for mirrors and harness at a salvage yard? Any idea what's a reasonable price?
Bob
What about the side mirrors with the turn signal arrow built inside? If your going to change them...
Let me know how you do it, I'd like to do the same

Bobkoos,
I would start by opening up the door to see if you have a prewired harness in your door so you know how much of a harness you need. Also, you may have an issue on where to mount the electric controller for the mirrors. Once you figure that out you'll more or less know what needs to be done, then you can compare prices on aftermarket 'vs' factory for price and ease of installation.
