Increase gas mileage
Is there anything i can do to increase the mileage in my truck? I am skeptical on the "magnetic fuel thingys". I get around 11-12 mpg. That is my estimate. I run synthetic oil and use fuel inj cleaner. I dont have loads of money, so if there is anything that i can get/do fairly cheap, ......

I could prob get the air filter, but wont the high flow muffler cause it to backfire? The engine is made for a certian amt of backpressure i believe. I dont have alot of mula. I keep the tailgate off for decreased noise and resistance. Does that realy increase the mileage, or is it a old wives tale?

The tailgate from what I hear, doesn't help. I have never personally tried to compare the results.
No backfiring problems from the muffler. Most of the backpressure comes from the cat. converter anyway.
