Paint Opps
I messed up. I put the fender protector on the fender while I leaned in to work on my distributer. When I took the protector off, there were light scuffs visible in the new clear coat (5 months old) It's not terrible, but noticeable and I have not tried any type of remediation. What would be the best way to polish this scuffs out? There are several that are about 2" long and 1/8" wide. Thanks, John

Hey John -
Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
If the scratches aren't too deep, wet sand them with 1500 or 2000 grit paper. I used 1000 grit to get some scratches out of my car but that was on a 5 yr old paint job.
