Older iPod connected to Sync4?

I’ve an older iPod with a bunch of music I’ve bought. I cannot seem to get it to work in my ‘22. Anyone been successful with this?

Did you buy the music from Apple? Do you have iTunes on a PC or Laptop?

Some was bought via iTunes, most was copied from CD’s I owned. I don’t have iTunes on anything except my iPhone. (Damn Steve Jobs! LOL)

Long story short, it's not easy to get music off an iPod because Apple never intended your iPod to be your main storage device. The Apple music eco-system starts with "iTunes" software, that gets installed on a Mac or PC. (You don't have iTunes on your phone, you have an app called Apple Music). iTunes software lets you buy or rip music, store it somewhere on your Mac or PC, organize it however you like, and play the music on your computer. It also allows you to copy (sync) your music onto other Apple devices like an iPod, iPad or iPhone. So, the music on your iPod actually got there from iTunes.

Here's a link to an article showing one (kind of convoluted) way to get your iPod music back onto your computer: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-10141

If that doesn't work, here's another link to a company that sells software to help get your music back: https://imazing.com/guides/how-to-tr...4aAqA-EALw_wcB

There may be other methods, just google "copy iPod music to PC".

Good luck!
