I know of no one making them (old Mustangs a different story)
A factory harness was thousands of dollars new (custom vans get their harnesses dissected and added on to from the upfitter)
The harnesses are obsolete by a year or two after production
You might never find a new harness for cheap (I'd check Ebay once you get a part number from Ford)
Better plan on building your own, or repair what you have
I'm not wanting to rewire the conversion part, the van has set for a couple of decades & I'd like to have a Harness made to do away with the original electronics controls & convert it back to a old school carbed engine of the 70's...
That should be way easier at least
There is only about 17 wires in the main loom of an older one
You can get some of those older harness parts, but still will not just plug and play with your new one
The harnesses split at the firewall and the fuse panel on the old ones, and a bulkhead connector on the newer ones
Not real sure what I'd do in your case without some thought
You going to a car show or just want to make it run?
I'm just considering putting it back on the road to use as a work van & just figured that after setting for almost 25 years that the wiring could be an issue.
Some of it probably is
Check key on voltage to the coil and check the physical condition of the ignition switch is one place to start
Checking all the fuse links and the wiring over to the alternator would be next
You should be able to get it up and running
One thing, you said back to the old carb setup
Your 85 van should already have a carb on it, right?
I bought mine from ebay, sure helped solve some wire hacking done by a moron to power the heater blower, caused by a faulty relay by the headlight, has everything under the hood, as well as inside.
