Oh NO! Fabtech vs Edge

OK, I did do a search and found some details comparing the front leveling kits but I am interested in the 4.5 - 5.5 lift Kits.

Which do most people recommend? The Edge 4.5 or Fabtech 5.5? I am mounting a set of 35 Procomp Xterrains on a 2003 Ford Super Duty 250.

I am not concerned with company business ethics, just straight up performance and quality.......

Please post any pics if you have them...

Originally I was going with the Edge 4.5 but have know changed my mind and leaning towards the Fabtech 5.5..

Thanks

Well, from what I have seen if you have a PSD you'll get about 4.5" out of the Fabtech 5.5".

Being as the Edge 4.5" is a hanger and shackle, there is no change in spring rate. And since it also includes Bilstein 5100s valved specifically for the SD you'd have a better than stock ride. IMO, Bracketry is better on the Edge.

Fabtech is new springs......will change spring rate. Shocks aren't the greatest (I'd say to order the kit w/o shocks and order the Bilstein 5100s instead).

If you wanted to off road hard I would recommend a 6" lift instead.

Just my $.02

Hope this helps.

Had the 5.5 in mine and didn't get near what it says as DC said. I parked next to guy that had a 5 inch with same tires and his was about one inch taller than mine. If I had it to do all over again I would probably go with the Edge.
