I got such quick & informative answers last time I fiqured I try again....I have a 1990 ford E-350 van.W/351 engine & E-40-D trans W/ overdrive..I was woundering were I can get info On the speedometer Plastic gears??.I remember a few years back that the colors are different & depending on the size of the tires as to witch one to useI have a tan one now...I had new tires(LT235/85 R16) put on the same size as before.(LT235/85R16-M/S)..But different makers..I measured the height is a 11/2" shorter then before.I noticed as im driving the speedo is saying 70 but it seams like I'm only going a lot less..
I wouldn't worry about it, changing speedo gears won't really help. Speed difference is only minor with 1 1/2". I run 35" on a van set for 31" and its only a 5 MPH difference at 65. Speedo says 60 when I am actually doing 65. Checked with a friend pacing me and also driving past radars with BIG displays in our construction zones.
