Dried wax on clear coated rim

I have some American racing rims. They are a machined aluminum finish, with a clear coat. I waxed them when I first got them. But I noticed that there’s a ring of dried wax around the hubcap between lug nuts. How do I get that off without ruining the clear coat on it? It’s the yellow butter wax from chemical guys.
