headers and egr crap

so i have a pair of jba shorty headers that i picked up of of a bronco (90-91) 5.8l. these headers have a tube and a pipe thread coming off of the first tube on the passenger side header for egr recirculation. as far as i know the exhaust ports are identical on 5.0's/5.8's. i welded a cap onto the nut that retains the egr tube to the header. my question is, will this small pocket of tube that doesnt flow anywhere sticking off of the front tube on the passenger side create any problems? is there anything i need to consider before installation.

I can't imagine how it could cause problems. When the tube broke from rust on my stock manifold I just plugged the fitting with a pipe plug, it's the same threads.
