Hi Everyone. I’m looking to purchase an older F150 between 1985 and 1995. I need a 4 wheel drive and full size/crew cab. Any recommendations and things to look out for when looking for the truck to purchase? Any specific year in that range you’d recommend? I live outside of Salt Lake City in Utah in a more rural community. I’d definitely be taking this truck into the mountains for hunting, fishing and shooting trips.
What they're trying to tell you is, there's no such thing as a crew cab (4 door) F150 in the 7th,8th or 9th gen trucks. The only way you'll find that, is if you build one yourself, or find one already converted by an aftermarket co. This is why you're limited to a HD platform to find one easily.
During the 1990's and early 2000's, a company called Centurion Vehicles of White Pigeon, Michigan produced special edition trucks branded Centurion conversion trucks. The company was acquired by Southern Comfort Conversions, Inc.
Do not buy one of these vintage trucks unless you are mechanically inclined & have the knowledge to at least use a DVOM, tools & a place to work.
Do not buy one of these vintage trucks if you have or hope to find a mechanic/shop to work on one of these trucks successfully and unlimited money to pay for same.

I'll watch for you to be broke down out there somewhere in the mountains
I have people give me trucks and offer me trucks yearly
Used to turn down the carbureted 85's
Rethinking that these days after my processor crapped out
Still, I believe the 94-95's to be the best and the 97 F250 with the 7.5 to be the very best
That said, the 5.0s are underpowered and the 4.9s last forever
That means GET A 5.8 and be happy, gas mileage and power are a trade off
I like my present 94 with a 5.8 the most
