Quality Distributor’s
What are good brands for distributors? I got a new one from Oriellys and it feels like it’s got a misfire, so I bought a new cheap one thinking it was a rebuilt motocraft but it has a misfire, so I would like to shop for a good distributors so I would like to hear what your guys opinion on great quality brands! Thank you in advance!!!!

2 distributors having a misfire is unlikely. I would verify your wires are routed correctly, spark plug gap is all the same and correct before wasting more money on a 3rd districbutor.

"Feels" like it's got a misfire?
Verify that by shorting out cylinders
Pull each wire from the cap one at a time (watch your nuts)
Agree with both above posts
Check the firing order first
Use boot pliers to do the cylinder balance test and a tachometer (the spark plug boot pliers will save your nuts)

I thought I needed to check my valve lash because I had a pop every once in a while but my copper core spark plugs were about 40k miles old. Bought some new ones and one of my plugs had a large gap while the other 7 were pretty even. After replacing all my plugs and starting it up it was smooth as silk and the random pop went away.

What engine and firing order?
Maybe you have cross fire from spark plug wiring.
What was the original problem, and do you still have the original distributor?
Motorcraft are far superior, get one used is better than a new one.
