Need help with Rear Diff Replacement Issues

I am replacing the entire rear end, except housing. It started making noise so I opened it up to find chocolate milk and glitter. I pulled out the carrier and the side bearing on the driver's side was all chewed up and the inner pinion bearing race was beat up too. I ordered all new OEM parts, carrier, bearings, seals, pinion and ring gear, wheel bearing and seals, everything except the tube/housing. The issue I'm having is every time I tighten the driver's side side bearing cap the diff binds up. I have checked and re-checked the preload and backlash multiple times. I tried switching caps, just in case I accidently switched them. Nothing I do seems to change the issue. I can tighten the Passenger side and all is good, but as soon as I snug the driver's side cap it binds. Any ideas/advise would be greatly appreciated.

The truck is a 2020 F-150 Lariat 2.7l ecoboost with the L6 rear axle (8.8", 3.73, electronic locking w/o limited slip)

Thanks in advance!
