CV axles interchangability.

Goal: Make a narrow 8.8" IRS from Ford parts to fit in restomod small european cars such as Triumph, Mg, Volvo etc.
Thunderbird knuckles are a must.

My idea was to use something like an Explorer front CV shaft as a rear one, I think it's the left one that most likely fits the 8.8" rear diff.
The problem is that I cant find one that's 28/28 or 31/31 splines. Explorer is 31 inner 29 outer for example.

Solution?:
Try to find front cv shafts that have the same Tripod hubs as the Thunderbird IRS so I can simply swap out the shaft and tripods.

Does anybody have knowledge of the different tripod hubs or a list where I could cross reference them?
Splines and diameter are the main dimensions I should look in to.

Specific knowledge for a cross reference? Sorry, no.
I had a thought though:
Do you have access to the entire front end of a 4x4 F-150/Explorer/Expedition?
The wheel-base might not be suitable for what you are trying to do, but it is already an IFS 8.8" with CV shafts that you might be able to mod to an IRS.

Sounds like fun though.
