Hi,
Anyone know what type of emblems fit these 4 holes on the pic below? It's the same on the other side so I guess there should be emblems?
250 Ranger XLT 1970 4WD (highboy) - And should there be anything on the bed? I have been told my car is a camper since i have the tool box on the side. Anything else to look for to verify this?
Google did not help me so trying my luck
Those were for some type of mount/bracket, not emblems. I had similar holes with brackets on a camper special I parted out, believe it had to do with supports for the camper.
Could be as FE says or could have been a dealer logo. I pulled some dealer logos off this weekend that had holes drilled into similar locations but not in that orientation.
Hi, It currently has a C6 but if I decoded the VIN correctly it should be a manual.
VIN F26YRJ33276
F26 = F-250 4WD
Y = 360 cid, 8-cyl.
R = San Jose, CA
J = J30,000 thru J49,999
Second row: 131(space) F260 3(SPACE)3 A 24
131 - long wheelbase truck is 131
MINE HAS NO COLOUR CODE SO I AM GUESSING IT’S A CUSTOM ORDER?
F260 = F-260 (4x4) GVW 6,800
3(space) = Mine is Parchment, what ever that means 😉 no interior code - The first two digits are the interior trim code (If only two characters are needed for the trim code, there will be a space between the first and third digits. In the example pictured here (click to enlarge), you can see the three-digit body code, where the second digit is blank. "D-4" would indicate a Sport Custom cab with styleside box
From a previous post photo, it looks like it has a 67-69 bed without the rear marker lights, and has no trim level emblems. You can pull a Marti Report for its Ford birth certificate to know for sure. 4wd trucks didn't get automatics until 73 so it was swapped in. What transfer case do you have: a divorced Dana 24, divorced New Process 205, or a married NP 205?
