Hey everyone, have a 2018 e350 super duty rv with v10, looking for fuel filter location if it has a external one, looked along frame rail and couldn't find one, maybe hidden behind canister plate? any help would be appreciated, thanks
It's inside the fuel tank and part of the fuel pump (should last 150k miles at least)
No replacement is necessary (according to Ford)
It means have a spare fuel pump with you on a long trip
One bad tank of gas and you'll be walking
I used to replace a few in tank filters on Dodge trucks for the railroad, never fixed squat, had to replace the pump
Was looking at fuel pumps online and seen what looked like a plastic cup type strainer under the top part of pump, figured that was where it was, always kept a spare pump in my old 95 e350 23 ft c class 460 motor and always kept tank full and filled when got down to 3/4, keeps fuel pump running cooler driving it 10 hr clips, plus at 10 mpg I wouldn't cry a lot when filling, lol! Now this rv is a 2018 thor majestic c class, 19 ft, v10, the good thing I noticed it has a built-in access plate inside floor above fuel tank to make changing pump easier, railroad mechanic, sounds interesting, I'm sure you seen it all, I'm a retired construction equipment mechanic, when companies bring their equipment to me for maintenance, also would clean out tank, water strainers, change filters, and change pump weather needed it or not, down time is way more lost money than fixing it correctly, appreciate your reply and time, thank you sir
