8R = 239 V8
C = F1
498096 = consecutive unit number
NR = Branch Code, Norfolk, VA assembly plant
Consecutive unit numbers were a continuation from 1949 thru 1950. 498096 is a large number that would place it toward the end of production, 1950. If you find the firewall stamping we discussed in your other thread, we can pin down a build date.
