Does anyone here know how I can find out what the original tire size was on my truck? The two sizes that were offered when the truck was sold were: 235/75R15 and 245/75R16. The tires that are on it now are: 265/70R16. I haven't tested the speedometer yet to find out if it's correct or not. But I removed the spare tire and the spare is a 15" tire. So I'm looking for a way to determine what the orginial tire size was. Thanks.
the 245/75r16 are the same height as the 265/70r16 that are on there now, the 265s are just wider. the 235/75r16 are about 3/4" shorter than the other 2

I have been doing tire research lately, as I am looking for a wider tire for my truck.....tsoe 265s are actually taller even with the same sidewall....weird I know, but I found that out yesterday....for xp...the 255 70r16s are 30 inches tall. the 275 70r16s I looked at for my truck are 31.1 inches tall.....figure that one out same company.
back to topic do you have stock rims? or after market?
christaylor - The info was on my door sticker from the factory. Thanks. I should have known to look there!
Jimmy Dean - I bought the truck from a dealership with after market wheels.
So, the original tires were 245/75R16, the tires on it now are 265/70R16, so what the heck am I doing with a 15" spare? Guess I'll have to go buy a new one.
