Hi all,
I have a’21 f250 lariat with the usual bucket seats up front. I am looking to remove the center console and add a jump seat due to a growing family.
my question is….if I remove the center console, does all of the power for the two bucket seats run under the console which would make the heated seats and power seats not work? Or is the wiring elsewhere?
I put power seats in my 17 F150 STX and all the wiring was under the carpet under the seats (I tied into the OEM) harness. I also had to remove all the seats and center console when I switched the vinyl flooring over to carpet, no seat wiring was under the console. Also do you have your seat already? I have been considering adding a console and ditching my center seat. It's black Katzkin leather with all black plastics from Ford.
I think what you'll loose (if equipped) is the rear power outlets, rear heated seat control, and rear a/c duct. There shouldn't be any issues with the front bucket seats.
On edit - I was mistaken about the power outlets. Corrected by mwheue below.

Yeah my jump seat has a cigarette plug outlet and I bought the underseat extenders for the rear passengers that both heat and a/c work extremely well back there now.
