When I pull the injectors does the cylinder need to be evacuated of liquids? I know my 7.3 this had to be done.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure why there would be “liquids” unless there was a catastrophic failure of the injector where it dumped fuel into the cylinder. You do need to blow out the holes the hold down bolts thread into.
