Ok ive read the other stuff that I could find and I cant see how to remove the Large C clip (the first one) to get the auto hub off....
Im changing to MM's and never took hubs apart before.
Thanks for the help
Im sure all this is easy but you know how it goes.... with the First time
flathead screwdriver and needle-nose pliers. Just pry up on one end of it and pull it out with the pliers. Use a little care so you don't bend it, but it isn't a big deal if you do cause they are cheap
Also make sure you are trying to remove the c-clip that is recessed in the hub assembly first, not the one on the end of the axle shaft.

I did find another thred and there was talk of a hole to pop it out. I didnt had one so I drilled one and used a small nail to push it down and while holing that nail I put another small nail in the separation of the C ring and used a hammer to tap it in and it drove the C ring out YAY!!!
go to tool king or auto zone-it is a 2.25" socket that is for 4wd-I ran into the same issue on mine-keep the pronged wrench though-you will need it when you convert to manual hubs-I didnt have the socket when i tore it apart-I was able to use a large screwdriver and jam it between the nut and hub to get it off-just turned the hub counter clockwise while keeping pressure on the nut
I ended up doing the screwdriver method...
the second side took only minutes to do....its that Learn by doing thing!
I have the whole front end apart and am working on the Rad. arm bushings. I put 2 pictures in my Gallery to show the work.
I have to finish it tonight and get it to have my plow installed tomorrow, its going to SNOW on Friday here.
Its going to be a LONG night
