TRANSMISSION problem
) it is basically show vehicle for me and have babied it since day 1. at about 20,000 miles i noticed the tranny/engine "overrevving" as the truck would speed up, with even pressure on the accelerator, as you hit fortyish and the truck would shift into overdrive you can hear the engine seem to continue revving for a second and then everything is fine. it seems as though it is not going into gear, but that is not the case. you do not lose acceleration nor is there any sort of thump or bump as if the tranny finally engages. it seems to engage just fine, just makes a strange revving noise as/during/after it is making the final shift.
i took it to the dealership and at first they told me there was a tsb and they had to replace something(this was 3-4 months ago i forgot what they said) but now it is back and aking the noise louder than ever. i took it back to the same dealership yesterday and they old me they cannot duplicate my problem, they have no idea what tsb i am talking about and i need to pick up my truck.
forgive me if this has been dscussed b4. i did a search and i also searched the TSB's, but i could not find anyone with a similar problem.
thank you in advance.

I'm not a auto tranny guy ,but have you changed tranny fluid yet ?
Do you tow anything?
We assume you chk fluid level.
Does it do this only when cold or after warmed up?
and through all of its shifts ?
Tells us what the shift points are in rpm's /mph
1-2 shift == ?rpm/?mph
and so on!
Have you disconnected the battery at anytime lately?
because these tranny's will need time to relearn there shifting process
You could scan it for codes to see if the pcm is storing codes for the tranny.
You might try disconnecting the battery to clear cdes and shift process
to see if it clears up your description of the problem but beaware it will come back again maybe.
Just my thoughts

I'm sure Mark K wil be along to help also
