Swapping springs

OK I just recieved a set of "X" code springs from a freind and am thinking of replacing the rears at the same time. Has any tried this yet? I currently have "V" codes and a add a leaf in the rear. My new set up will be "X" codes and EDGE's 2 in mini spring pack in the front and the f350's rear springs and the 4 in block. I will keep the add a leaf close in case i need it to level out the truck. I will also order a EDGE track bar. I figure to run f350 stock bilsteins up front and 4 in lifted "X" shocks for the rear. I figure to get almost 5 inches over a stock "X". According to the spring chart from Bruce I will get 2.90 inches from the "X" codes and of course 2 inches from the mini spring pack.
My questions are; Has any one replaced the rear with f350 springs and how was the ride. How is the ride with the "X" codes up front? Once i'm done i will try to fit on 315/75/16(MTR's or Terra grapplers) on 16x8 eagle alloy 101's. I have a freind who has a set on his f250 so i'll try them before sinking the money.

Thanks

I guess it will ride like an F350 with a snowplow package - like crap. Go for it though if you that's what you want. The aftermarket lifts ride the same - like crap - and cost more net. A hanger kit with stock springs is the only way to keep a reasonably decent ride with lift.

Rear springs

Birdman,

I am looking to replace the rear springs on my Ex with F-350 rear spring packs also. I am moving up to a big toyhauler and need the increase load capacity because of the tongue weight. Can you tell me where you are getting the f-350 rear springs, part numbers, and approximate costs. I have Air Lifts on the rear now, however, will feel alot better knowing the bigger springs are back there.
Thanks for any help, Cliff

I got them from a freind. I will check out the springs and see if there are casting numbers. I hope to install in the next week or two, weather permitting! I too tow and want the Xtra springs for the tongue weight and a bigger camper in the next yr. I decided to stay away from the extra lift. X codes and the sister rears!
