Just purchased a 2024 Ranger XLT Sport with the Advanced Towing Package as well as the Trailer Tow Package. It has the 2.3 Ecoboost engine. I was hoping to find one with the 2.7 but they are few and far between.
I want an idea of how well this truck will tow. The towing limit is 7500 lbs.
This is my boat that I want to tow. I had no problems towing it with my F-150 at 10900 towing limit. The boat, motor and trailer weigh in at about 3100 to 3200 lbs. Will my Ranger handle the towing job. Most of my towing will be from storage to the launch ramp and back again under 10 miles each way. My concern will be when I want to tow longer distances 300+ miles or so when I tow the boat on vacations.
Does anyone here tow that kind of weight with their 2.3 ecoboost Ranger and how does it tow.
You are correct. I moved my boat from one storage area to another storage area that is 5 miles closer to where I launch. The truck pulled my boat fine. Now it was only secondary roads at 45 MPH. I will find out later this year how well it does on the expressways. That said I am happy with how well it handles the load so far.
