hey all . Just wanted to ask a few questions about my 77 f150 ranger xlt 4x4. Yesterday while working on my differential that i spun the gears out of(to long of a burn out 1:47) i went to look at my engine that has started to worry me. When i first bought my truck i was told that it had a 409 in it(bought the truck for 1300) but as i was looking noticed something written on my engine POWERD BY 460 made by edelbrock YEA im so happy right now but is that why i spun my gears. are my gear to engine ratio messed up some how. Its an automatic but i also took the tank behind the seat out for more leg room (im 6'5 so ya no) and i dont think im getting enough gas to the engine. Thanks to one lucky 19 year old in az
i have one behind my seat, it's a 77, so i know it was an option. but i am getting the electric fuel pump moved to my new rear tank and removing the old seat tank because i don't like it there and i would rather have the weight of gas on the back.
hey all thanks for the advise. I will get the numbers off the block but where are they anyway. Yea to the fellow 77 fords do have seat tanks but they are noise and they smell bad anyway just going to take the shinny molding off so it will look nice and clean yes i know there are metal tabs but thats what welding class was for
