My turbo waste gate is contacting the coolant crossover on the firewall. I want to modify one on the bench to minimize down time, but I am having a very difficult time finding one or even a part number. I have found a similar item for the 6 liter trucks (PN: KH-611) but no joy for the 7.3's.
I had the same problem when I replaced my turbo during a major refresh on the topside of my 7.3. I chose the KC stage one, and it rubbed badly. That along with poor performance issues with the KC product, the turbo was removed. I instead reverted back to the OE Garrett with pedestal, there is no rubbing, but things look close. At some point I plan to replace body bushings which may make a difference.
