I have two questions that I believe to be electrical in nature. I have a 87 BII, 2.9 OD auto trans w/ electronic 4wd. My tach suddenly pegged out to the right of the dial and has remained there. I was driving at 45 mph with the tach reading approx. 2000 rpm ( trans had just shifted into OD). There appeared to be no strain on the engine when this occurred. Question One: What can I do to correct this? Second problem involves the intermittent wipers. I am not sure if the problem is in the relay or the steering column switch. The intermittent wiper function is hit and miss. When I use the timer adjustment on the end of the switch lever, the wipers may or may not change in timing of on/off. They will work in lo/hi speed position and at the shortest duration intermittent. Question Two: Is the problem the relay or the switch, oh yeah where is the relay located? Thanks for any input to assist my BII.
