Muffler brand? Header brand? How did they fit and is the truck 4x4 plus what trans?
Data helps for folks.
1993 Fe50 4x4 auto trans. Hedman header kit. 3" all of the way back. The muffler is just a Jegs house brand 3" inlet and outlet. The headers fit really well. The cat fell off.
I think you will be disappointed in low end power. 3” exhaust is way too big for a stock engine. That’s unfortunate because I like clean air. With the availability of aftermarket high flow converters there is no reason to delete the cat conv.

3" IS the stock size for a 7.5L!
Stock 7.5L exhaust is 2-1/2" primary legs of the Y, merging to 3", 3" in/out catalyst, 3" intermediate pipe, 3" in/dual 2-1/4out, dual parallel tailpipes.
When the stock muffler rusted through on my previous '97 7.5L thanks to Cleveland winter road salt, I opted to go with a 3"in/out 7" round 20" long stainless straight-through Magnaflow and 3" stainless tail
I have the same on my '95 after its rebuild, with the exception of mid-length headers/y-pipe, merging to the 3" in/out replacement catalyst, 3" single from there back, 7" round straight through stainless Magnaflow, and a slightly different 3" single tailpipe
It didn't, but the head bolts at the top of the exhaust port and the angle of the header flange off the head kinda gave it away as a 460/7.5L. SBF outer head bolts are at the lower edge of the head, waaaay below the exhaust ports.
Oh, and @pdhulteng , glad to hear that the Hedman headers work/fit on your EFI 7.5L 4x4! This fact should help many other forum members!
The headers I got for my '95 7.5L 2wd several years ago were offered by DNA Motoring (and no longer listed), but look very similar to the Hedmans (but mine are polished 'stainless' )
The full Banks Stinger exhaust is 3" to 3.5" after the muffler. If you are concerned with air quality you could plant some trees or stop buying stuff from China. One cargo ship produces the equivalent emissions to 55Million passenger cars annually. Our trucks aren't even a drop in the bucket. Plants love carbon and I dont love the idea of a shiny $400 catalytic converter hanging down visible to theives. My truck is exempt by age and GVWR from requiring a catalytic converter.

There are other byproducts from combustion that are reduced with a catalytic converter. I live in a wooded area so I’d have to cut down some trees to plant them. I don’t live in an area where people are going around stealing converters so I’m not worried about that.

It is a 460 with a Comp cam. Other than that it is stock.
