Anyone know what the headliner board is made of or a substitute type of particle board I can use in its place for a 1950Ford F1? When I removed the interior to redo it, those two pieces were damaged and I can't have them recovered. I don't want to have to buy an entire kit when those are the only two pieces I need if I don't have too. Anyone that have spares just lying around, and willing to sell them, I'm super interested.

Can't help on your year but 53-up into the 60s it was perforated cardboard. I think Dennis Carpenter might sell them.

The 53-54 Deluxe Cabs and the Custom Cab 55-56 trucks had the perforated headliner which Ford called thermo-acoustic headliner. The holes provided the acoustics and fiberglass insulation provided the thermo insulation.
I've never seen any reproduction perforated headliner. If I had a Deluxe Cab or a Custom Cab I'd be ticked.
Thank you all for the responses. Do anyone know a material I can use to substitute for the card board like material of the original headliner? Hopefully, something I can buy at Lowes, Home Depot or other easily accessible supply store. I'm putting in a custom leather headline and the material from the around the window and the back of the seat was destroyed when removing the original liner.
Thank you, this was the exact information I was looking for. Ross (AlbuQ F1) suggested the exact same material so I'm confident this material will work.
