c6 tranny

I have a 360 right now with a c6 tranny... Im putting a 302 with an aod tranny in, I was wondering if there was a conversion kit to put the c6 on the 302 or anything like that to where i could put the c6 on the 302.... If not, i will just put the aod tranny in... I was just thinking it is going to be a pain to put the aod in, plus if i ever need to tow anything.... well you get what im saying... but i guess it works both ways cuz i will get better mpg with the c6... and i was wondering if i could put a c6 on the 302 if there was a torque converter i could put on, im just asking cuz doesnt that give you better mpg?? thanks

Nope, you need a small block C6. The bellhousing is integral on these C6 trannys.

Look for a small block C6 in a mid 70's- late 80's van. 300, 302, or 351, they all used the C6.

why would the c6 give you better gas mileage. the aod has overdrive where the c6 only has 3 gears so the aod would give better mileage. a torque convertor is something like a clutch in a manual tranny, it turns when enough gas is applied.
