Fuel tank size????

So I've searched & searched I've read the owners manual & it never once mentions any tank sizes just that you could have 2 tanks or one tank....
So I need to replace the pump in the front tank of my 1996 F250HD 4x4 SuperCab XLT
Rock auto has 500 options & I cannot find anything definitive about how to tell which tank I have..
Does anyone know how to find this out? - so I don't find out I ordered the incorrect pump once I have the tank sitting on my garage floor

Unless they changed the sizes, 19 front, 18.2 rear.

It's towards the end of the owner's manual.

I've got a 95 and it's in the owners manual.

It's fairly easy to find out how much it holds. Run it till its dry and fill it up. I know I can get a good 2-3 gallons more if I trickle it in.

When I punch in my VIN it tells me it can't find the information. It only lists back as far as 2015 for me, but somehow you got the 1996.

What's your secret to getting the info? I was trying to find out what my '97 F-SuperDuty has in the front/rear. And also my '88 F-250, but per #3 in your comment, it could be 16.8 gallons. My '97 seems about that, but it must have a 19.0 gallon front tank, not sure as my front needs a sender.

My 91 ECSB has a 19 gallon front.

I believe it's a 6'7 bed, or whatever they considered "short bed"

I used "Vincheckup" for my 91

For your '88, from the owner's manual:

Thanks! I guess that makes sense, although I seem to get more mileage from the rear tank. Dual tank switch is a blessing, IMO. Ensures that one shouldn't run out of gas, but I'll probably still push it when I need to...

Thanks that definitely helps, the odd thing though is in my 1996 F250 SuperCab the front tank is the tank that needs a pump, we'll it's my been my daily driver for the last 5 years & when I'm bone dry I can only squeeze about 14 gallons into the rear tank the rear tank is the only tank I've been able to use on my 96 F250 & on my 95 F150 the front tank is the only one that's been operable so I'd like to get both pumps on both trucks working the 96 is the priority as it's the daily driver so is there just a 3-4 gallon reserve in these tanks when they show empty? Or do I need to calibrate my fuel gauge/sensor some how?

The best way to calculate fuel mileage, is to fill up one tank, drive on that tank a good distance, like 100 miles, then refill that tank. Divide the miles by the gallons that it took to refill it.
Gauges can be affected by a few different things. They might be good general indicators of fuel level, but not accurate enough for calculating mileage.

You got two tanks. Why not drive it till it's empty? The more miles and fuel you use, the more accurate the number will be.

That's true, but he only has one tank working right now.
