2022 PSD will hesitate shifting from 3-5 like it momentarily goes into neutral then shifts to 5th gear. Usually light throttle around 20 mph. Engine temperature seems to have no bearing on it. Goes to dealer next week. Anybody had something similar?

check your fluid get the trans to 195-215*F, pull the fill plug, it should "just let a few drops out" and it's full. If it doesn't pump some ulv in. Do this all with the truck running in park on a level surface.
this might save you hours as the dealer.

Well known thing. Light throttle = weird shift. Moderate throttle = smooth shift. Someone here said it's the torque converter unlocking for the shift.
If the dealer can't fix it or a reflash doesn't change anything the next step should be verifying the fluid level. There is no dipstick so you have no way to tell but erratic shifts are a symptom of too much or too little fluid in the 10Rs.
Same here on my '23. The 3 to 4 shift just feels different than all the others. Oddly enough my '15 with the 6-speed did the exact same thing, but I never had any transmission problems with it.
I posted this on another thread, but I'll do it again...
My 2023 does the same thing. I had it in the shop for something else, and went ahead and mentioned the shifting anomaly... supposedly they rebuilt or replaced the valve body, but it did not change it's behavior.
I don't know about the torque converter thing (unlocking) but that seems unlikely. In my case, it usually does it after the truck has sat for at least a few minutes, hot or cold. I am in and out of my truck all day, with 5-20 minute service stops, and it will almost always have that 3-4 slip on the first gear change once I'm moving again... and then usually won't do it again until the next stop/start cycle.
Here's what they did with mine...
I say 'supposedly' worked on my transmission, because I see NO evidence that they went into my transmission. Something is fishy in Denmark...
@Charlie98 there should have been LC3Z-7F396-C Pan Gasket on that invoice along with LC3Z-7G186-A Filter if they dropped the pan and valve body.
That's what I mean... I don't see any marks on the pan bolt heads. I don't know enough about the transmission... if the valve body component is accessible in another manner. I wouldn't think so, but I'm not going to point fingers without knowing for sure.

The trans tech who fixed my leak said it is standard to replace the filter when opening the transmission for work. My invoice had the gasket, filter and 12 quarts of ULV along with some fastners. I did have a shop in Arizona claim they worked on my transmission and the only thing on the invoice was the warmer/cooler. No fluid, no gasket, no fastners and the leak wasn't fixed. I dont think they did any work either because they were slammed with work booked over a month out. They claimed to have fixed my camera but it was coolwhen I picked it up and when it warmed up later that day it acted identical to before taking it to them.

I remember hearing about Ford having a plastic dipstick to replace the trans fill plug...
That thread went nowhere. The factory fill hole isn't accessible. The side fill port on the 20-22s is the proper place to check the level warm according to Ford. The dipstick thing never panned out.

Wait a minute, are you telling me that the fill port is not accessible on any of the MY20s and up? I thought it was from what I've seen. Obviously you have to crawl under the truck to check it. So if it's not accessible, how did they fill it at the factory?
