I'm not seeing it on their website yet, but banks just updated their app with compatibility for the "iDash Pro." Since it's been so long since there was a major hardware revision, I'm hoping for big updates. It looks like there's two versions. The iDash Pro and iDash DataPro. Likely a direct replacement for their current lineup with names like that. One thing is for sure, bluetooth is added to the new versions. The graphic representation looks the same as the current generation. Maybe it's just an update adding bluetooth? Hopefully it's a lot more than that, while maintaining compatibility with their current pods.
Yeah, if it's just Bluetooth, I agree. If it ends up being something bigger, with a lot of extra features then I'll have to think about it. I suspect the old ones will still sell reasonably well at first.
It's a gauge though, so it would need to be something more impressive than being able to connect to my phone, which I don't see a use case for anyway. I program the Pedal Monster via the iDash screen, so haven't even downloaded the app, got enough crap on my phone already.
I have two iDash units, the primary is a Data Minster and the secondary is a
Super Gauge. Dont have the app but just went through the software update page and maybe I'll upgrade my iDashes and PM to the latest editions I guess...
Gave Banks a call today and they wouldn't say much. They speculated it may come at the end of November. Who knows. Looking at their site, it looks like they're all marked limited inventory. Maybe they're just waiting to sell through the inventory.
I know this would be a controversial PID around here as if you drive something this big you just shouldn't care... But with the way banks talks, power and efficiency, you'd think you could get an instant MPG on the iDash. If anything, it should be able to calculate it even if Ford doesn't provide it. Anyway, hopefully they add that to the next version.
I did. I had been commenting on another thread around the same time and must have put that post on the wrong thread. I'll take care of that. Thanks for the heads up.
Maybe the new one will have audio alerting. From what I can tell on the current version you can set alerts…but unless you are watching the guide as you drive.you will never know it.
it would also be good if it would read the lift pump pressure for 2017-2019’s. Free odbport software can read lift pump pressure but for what ever reason the idash can’t.

I'm wondering if the "Pro" is the software for the Super Gauge and "Data Pro" is for the Data Monster?
Hmm... might have to download the app for schitts and giggles to see what it's about...
Looks like they finally released the new iDash Pro and DataPro. Compatible with current pods, as it's essentially a spec update.
The updates are:
Bluetooth connectivity - Updates, configuration, data download in the future.
Higher resolution screen, though same size. Says 4x, which means it may be sharper, but may not offer more "room" in my estimation.
Faster logging
Direct connection for analog sensors
Doesn't appear to offer different PIDs or anything
All in all, a little underwhelming, especially for the price. They have it at $430. Often there's 10% off, but still... I think I'll stick with mine for now.
