I have a 2018 f350 with less than 115k miles on it had a turbo failure on first engine destroyed the motor so after fighting with Route 66 with the 3rd party warranty (18000.00) dollars later that was cost of a lawyer ). They decided to replace the motor so a new motor was installed but they couldn't get the emissions unclogged at the dealer ship so they recommended to buy new emissions at a price of 9k which was not covered by third party warranty so I asked what was my next alternative action the answer was to tune and delete it. And I asked what about the new motor would that void the warranty on the brand new motor and they said yes but if anything was to happen to it they would take care of it so guess what 750 miles later piston comes out of bottom of the pan. And I'm stuck with the problem of a blown 6.7 that Sandy Sansing Ford will not touch because I put a delete and tune kit on the motor that they said there want be any problems and if so they would take care of any issues. So with that being said has anyone else had these kind of problems
You're in a tuff spot with a deleted truck in hand with a third part insurance policy and Ford will not warranty a engine with a tuner plain and simple. It's really up to the dealer to go to bat for you or not.
Reminds me of our 09 Ram 6.7 cummins POS as that truck was constantly giving us check engine lights, reduced power because of the emission system would clog up. After many trips to the dealer, who's only answer was to perform a regen and maybe a flash update and send the truck back, we finally met with the service manager asking what needs to happen to put this issue to rest and the answer was to delete the emissions system. OK that's fine, but what if the engine or drivetrain needs warranty work will you be able to guarantee the truck will be covered under warranty? Answer was no. About 2 weeks later that 9 month old POS was traded for a used 5.9 cummins truck.

Who did the Tune and Delete? If it was the dealer who did the entire job, get legal with them. It is ILLEGAL to remove emissions from any vehicle in the United States,of course if you are in Canada, skip this question as it wont matter. A dealer could and very well would lose their license along with a HUGE fine for performing that kind of work. Ask them which costs less, a replacement engine, or over $40K in EPA fines and possible loss of the dealership. Note that if you do report them to the EPA, you may lose the truck unless the emissions are replaced. You are in a hard place right now, would not want to be in your shoes.
I’d fight. They deleted it. They can fix it. I would not let that go. They don’t have a leg to stand on in court without taking on serious liabilities themselves.

As well, I don’t know where it started, but it is a federal offence to alter or remove emissions equipment in Canada. Provinces have their own laws / regulations as well, federal law stands even in the absence of provincial law. Enforcement may be a different story, but not in court.
I actually find it hard to believe in today’s day and age, any dealer would delete emissions.
