4.10 gears

My 4.0 OHV explorer has a 4.10 LS with 16" wheels.

Why would they gear it so low? That engine don't really have the HP to move it at higher speeds.

Feels crazy powerful in 4 low though.

That’s why. Off the line oomph.

Also, for it to perform decently as far as towing, you need mass and acceleration. One is much easier to obtain on a budget.

Maybe, its rated to to tow 5000, at your own risk!

What tire are you running?

I had 3.73s and I thought they were "short" with 235-75x15 stock tires.

I switched to 245-75x16s -- take offs from my Tacoma. Not a huge improvement but noticeable.

255/70R16

Some base new Bronco's have this size.
