What is your idea of plug and play? The Excursion has PATS, so there is additional wiring involved with a remote module. The best plug and play was the OE Ford remote start system offered as an accessory in the day.
I've been searching a while now. If I could find a factory setup part number for the factory kit, I'd be buying one. Later model vehicles have plug and play options, not so with the Ex. apparently.
This kit only came with the main 24 pin harness (and pc32 etc). Strangely the three harnesses that can be plugged in are Security (optional), the main 24 pin (not optional), and the 'car start' harness which is a separate harness (2W7J-12060). ...found that harness too in case it's needed and we hadn't found out about it until now.
The Securilok is correct but this definitely needs a real instruction set!
