Too each his own but I want to keep my truck stock . 6V positive ground. Obviously no halogen lights for me
Sure, I understand that, my goal was to have a reliable driver but to look stock, I even kept the regulator in place (until I gave it to Hooler at TS). At my age night vision isn’t that good so I needed brighter headlights.

Bob, what about LED headlights? I thought you were looking into those? Sounds familiar? My friend who has a 36 Ford coupe all stock also has trouble seeing at night. He installed led headlights. He just ran into problems with the tail lights said they were actually worse on account of they’re being non directional. But he loves the headlights.
Update here.
Thanks for the help.
I watched Steve Blancard YouTube and tested my generator as he describes. Works great.
Replaced the voltage regulator with a new one and the charging system is fixed.
Now I can drive outside the neighborhood.
