my area ( northwest MN ) by leeche lake seemed pretty scarce for deer and small game, might just be my area, or because of the lack of snow last year

Seen nice bucks this year, but a lot of smallish does too. The antler restrictions must be working from some of the racks I've seen. Hope one of "em turns up on my hunting grounds! I need a hatrack.

In Nebraska our deer season ended last week. On opening day I passed on a shot at a couple doe. At the end of the day I saw a buck that looked to be a good sized body and decent rack. When I took him into the locker they skinned him out and there was hardly any meat. His ribcage was HUGE but didn't have any meat. One of the shoulders were that yellow green that indicates gang green. The Game warden gave me a new permit but I didn't see any thing. Should have shot one of them doe. Oh well, I still have a little meat left from last year. Maybe I'll have to go muzzle loading.

Just got in from the last day of rifle season[11-30-03],seen nothing this morning and two does and another flag tonight. Live in the eastern part of the tip of the mitt in Michigan. General consensus here is a good amount of does and youg bucks[4 points or less]. Good size bucks have been seen in the area I hunt but due to mild weather there movement has been limited to night. Smokepole starts in two weeks hope for colder weather.

If you can get a picture of it.... send it to me
Here our season is 3 pt rule (on one side) and no does... was no doe last year but it got all crazy and doe were killed... cuz of some mess up on TV... So no does, and 3 pts on one side minimum
We have a ton of deer, just not moving deering the season.
Ive proboally hunted 3 or 4 hours on atleast 21 days so far this year... some days ive hunted all day and I aint seen a deer one during season. But at nite I see them on the highways.
Boy does that suck
So basically this weekend was a beer camp instead of deer camp

I'm not seeing very many deer in Southern Indiana. Until recently it has been well above “normal” temps around here. The temps should be in the low 30’s to upper 40’s but it’s been close to 70 several days so the deer are moving at night.

I've got a sm herd that hangs around so much that when I come in at night late that I might wind up hitting one with my truck going down the drive.

Not one of the better years here in central lower MI either, seen small bucks and a lot of does but no big bucks. It doesn't help that there is still a lot of corn standing where they can hide.
