78 F-600 hydra boost : I have installed a couple in the last few years NAPA ( Cardone ) , the last was approx 2 yrs ago & about $160 . It went out again & now NAPA is pricing @ $ 600 !!!. A conversation on a different chat forum suggested " Brake parts experts " $ 400 plus shipping & 8-12 week turnaround . Same site also suggested " Battle born brakes " that I am waiting on a reply from . you guys have any rebuilder that you recommend ? TIA
purchased the Battle Born Brakes kit & it looks pretty good ! The instructions said to remove the pin or peg that the original m/c eyelet attaches to, but my peg is welded in & I am lazy so I made a brass adapter bushing . The eye in new push rod is slightly larger than the original with plastic bushing .
he strongly recommended using a PV4 proportioning valve which Amazon is supposed to bring tuesday ha ha . I have never bled brakes with a proportioning valve !! yes I am old ! do i need to do front & rear axle at same time ? or just use same routine of starting with the wheel cyl that is farthest away from m/c ?? TIA
